For your room planning

Simply place the delivered tatami mats on the floor to create a space with a distinct Japanese atmosphere. The outer surface is made of Japanese rush grass (from Kyushu). The grass is thick, while its fibers are fine and elastic, contributing to the material's durability. Rush grass is known for its natural ability to purify the air and regulate humidity. It is also resistant to soiling and gradually turns golden yellow with extended use, giving it a more refined appearance.

The mat is filled with 10 mm of low-rebound urethane foam and 12 mm of felt, making it soft, thick, and fluffy. The low-rebound urethane foam has a pleasant softness comparable to marshmallows and mochi rice cakes. It is also excellent at absorbing shock and dispersing energy and pressure. Certified with an excellent LL30 sound insulation rating, it effectively reduces noise transmitted to the floor below.

The product is also lightweight, making it ideal for carrying, installing, and storing. By using the connecting joints, you can easily assemble multiple mats to fit the size of your room.

Made with Rush grass sourced from Kyushu, Japan

Pure Japanese rush grass, grown with clean water and fresh air, has a distinct toughness and resilience compared to its imported counterparts.

Japanese-grown rush grass is known for its superior density, resilience, and durability compared to many imported alternatives.

The fibers are more tightly packed, making the material:

  • More elastic
  • More durable
  • More resistant to cracking
  • Longer lasting

Rush grass is a natural air purifier

Used for over 1500 years, rush grass is a material with an astonishing power. Not only does it absorb moisture on humid days, but also releases moisture during dry winter.

It is an excellent material for use in Japan's particular climate, which has all the four seasons.

With the advances in research, we have been able to identify many more beneficial effects of rush grass. The more we learn, the more it makes sense that people have been using it from ancient times.
