The hem of the jacket

The waist of these pants has a soft wide elastic. They are comfortable and do not constrict the body.

There is a hole at the bottom of the pants where you can thread an elastic cord.

    Hydrogen peroxide is used instead of chlorine-based bleaching agents, resulting in a gentler process for both the fabric and the environment.

What is samue?

Samue is a traditional Japanese garment a bit similar to a kimono or yukata. Originally, it was worn by temple monks when they performed labor such as cleaning, chopping wood, and working in the fields.

Because it is easy to wear and does not constrict the body, it is now wore by many people as a type of room wear or working wear, not as a unique garment for monks. 

Wazarashi Fabric Process

Wazarashi is a traditional Japanese fabric-finishing process in which cotton is slowly treated in a cauldron for several days without being pulled or stretched. This gentle process removes pigments, natural oils, and other impurities from deep within the fibers while placing very little stress on the fabric.

The result is a soft, breathable cotton fabric with a light, fluffy feel that is comfortable against the skin. The beige color is added after the Wazarashi process.

Wazarashi - How to care

• Machine wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C (105°F)
• Do not bleach
• Do not tumble dry
• Iron at low temperature
• Delicate cleaning methods recommended
