Comparison of Standard, Thin, and Extra Thin cotton pillow thickness

Standard

Uses the most cotton filling of the three and has the fullest feel when new.

A good choice for those who prefer more initial height and volume.

Thin

A low-profile pillow with slightly more cotton filling than Extra Thin.

Suited to those who prefer a lower pillow but want a little more cushioning. It can be used on its own or layered with another pillow to adjust the height and feel.

Extra Thin

The lowest-profile option of the three.

A good choice for stomach sleepers or anyone who prefers very little pillow height. It can also be placed on top of another pillow as a soft cotton topper.

All three pillows are filled with natural cotton. Cotton gradually compresses and becomes thinner and firmer with regular use. This is a natural characteristic of cotton filling.

These are general guidelines. The most comfortable pillow height depends on sleeping position, body size, mattress firmness, and personal preference.


Silk-Free Option

Silk thread is normally used for the corner tassels and tufting ties because it is strong and resists unraveling.

If you prefer not to use silk, select the Silk-Free option. We will use cotton thread instead.

Please note that cotton thread may loosen or unravel more easily than silk, and the thread color may vary from the product images. This does not affect the function of the futon.

What is GOTS Certification?

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is one of the world's most rigorous certifications for organic textiles.

The certification verifies that every stage of production—from farming and harvesting to processing, manufacturing, and distribution—meets strict environmental and social responsibility standards.

The use of harmful chemicals is tightly controlled, ensuring a safer and more skin-friendly material you can use with confidence.

Fabric

The outer fabric is made from organic cotton in its natural beige color.

Because the fabric is not bleached, small brown cotton specks may appear on the surface. These are natural parts of the cotton and are harmless to the body.

We use this simple cotton fabric because it works naturally with the organic cotton filling inside the futon.

Organic Cotton from India

Cotton batting is a natural fiber with excellent resilience.

With regular care—such as sun-drying on clear days—the absorbed sweat from sleep and indoor moisture evaporate, allowing the futon to regain its fluffiness and ensuring a comfortable sleep.

We use GOTS-certified Desi cotton sourced from India, the world's largest producer of organic cotton. The region's abundant sunshine and ideal growing conditions produce high-quality cotton known for its natural softness, durability, and moisture-absorbing properties.

Side View After Use

This pillow is filled entirely with organic cotton and does not contain a core material.

With regular use, the weight of the head gradually compresses the cotton, so the pillow becomes thinner and firmer over time. It may settle to around half of its original thickness.

If you prefer more height, you can layer it with another pillow or cushion. Please keep in mind that this natural compression is a normal characteristic of cotton filling.

Care for 100% Cotton Filling

• Do not wash with water at home.
• Air regularly in a dry, well-ventilated place.
• On clear, dry days, air the item outdoors to help release moisture from the cotton filling.
• If outdoor airing is not possible, place it in a well-ventilated room and use a fan or dehumidifier if needed.
• If the outer fabric becomes dirty, gently spot clean the affected area and allow it to dry completely.
• Store only when completely dry, in a well-ventilated place.
• Cotton naturally settles and becomes firmer with use. This is a normal characteristic of cotton-filled bedding.
