Features
A lightweight Hadakake made with 100% Japanese linen, including both the outer fabric and filling.
The linen has a naturally dry, breathable feel and releases moisture easily, making it comfortable to use in warmer or more humid conditions. The fabric is also finished with a shrinkage process that creates a lightly textured surface and reduces the area in direct contact with the skin.
This product is made in Japan by a separate manufacturer and is not handmade by our futon artisans.

Omi Linen
Omi, in Shiga Prefecture, has been known for linen and hemp textiles for centuries. The region has a long history of weaving and finishing natural fibers.
Today, Omi textile production continues to combine traditional techniques with modern dyeing and finishing methods, producing high-quality linen fabrics with a distinctive texture and feel.
Hadakake (Lightweight)
“Hadakake” literally means “cover the skin” in Japanese. It is a lighter and thinner type of Futon Quilt (Kakefuton), traditionally used during warmer seasons or when a Standard (Heavy) quilt feels too warm.
In Japan, Hadakake is often used in late spring, summer, and early autumn, or in air-conditioned rooms. It can also be layered with other bedding depending on the temperature.
The linen fabric has a dry, cool feel and is highly breathable. It absorbs moisture well and releases it quickly, helping keep the sleeping environment comfortable in warm or humid weather.
